Who Is Vivo For?

Vivo Outdoor Fitness is for anyone over the age of 16 who wants to improve their health. If you are just starting out on your fitness improvements or whether you are a seasoned marathon runner or OCR racer, the unique way that Vivo will operate means that you will get a work out that will push you to your own individual capabilities.


What Do I Need To Bring/Wear?

Dress appropriate for the weather in clothes that can be discarded as you warm up. An old towel or yoga mat and a water bottle also. For the running clubs, high visible clothing is always recommended. 


Do I Have To Be Fit To Start?

No. We at Vivo will guide you through the programming, what ever your fitness levels. All you need is a desire and commitment to get fitter.


What Can I Expect?

Vivo Outdoor Fitness is a 60 minute, carefully programmed exercise class that will include: mobility, strength training, interval training, high intensity training, running and circuit training. These classes will be cycled over a 4 week period. Each session will be different to the next and varied. 


Will you be doing 'before  and after' photos?

No. Never. If you want to show off your progress and achievements then we will be encouraging you but I believe this is not a role for your coach. Having 30 years experience in the fitness industry I know what works and what doesn't. Yo yo dieting is not sustainable. Anyone can lose weight if they seriously restrict their calorie intake and exercise but recent studies show that when you put your body through these extremes measures that over 50% of people end up putting more weight back on than before they started and that each time they do this, their metabolic rate lowers every time, making it harder for them to lose weight the next time. What we need is a long term lifestyle change that is sustainable and enjoyable. This is the environment we are trying to create at Vivo.


Why Outdoors?

As a long distance runner, the majority of my training time has been spent out doors in all weathers and conditions. I believe this hardens you to the elements. It also builds a sense of community, we're all in this together. There is also something primal and empowering about training all in seasons of the year.
